The New Arrival
27th May 2004 was a memorable day this year, as the hatchday of a new character. As seen here in the stages of emerging from her egg, she pushed the bottom half away with such force that it caused a motion blur in the photograph.
Such was the strength in her feet that her parents, Marquila and Procella, named her Durungula - the Strong Talon. The other eagle is Marquila's brother, Aquilliam, who came to witness the happy event.
