Reepicheep and the Utter East
I had had the idea for this drawing since I last read through The Chronicles of Narnia a year or so ago. It wasn’t until recently, however, that I decided to draw this – following the release of the new movie, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, directed by Andrew Adamson.
Reepicheep the Mouse was always one of my favourite Narnia characters and his final journey to the Eastern Edge of the World and Aslan’s Country is rather a special moment in the series. In my drawing, I wanted to show Reepicheep more from his, or Aslan’s, point of view.
After this very moment, he left the world of Narnia, his coracle cresting the wave, and crossed over, according to popular belief, into Aslan’s Country.
