I've been reading Brian Jacques' Mossflower again! I felt like drawing a scene from the book - one of the scenes which, I believe, is one of the really important moments in the story. Gonff the Mousethief (Prince of) was captured by vermin guards from Kotir when caught pinching from their larders - again! Suddenly, after a long and wearying winter in solitary confinement, Martin the Warrior finds himself in the company of a friendly creature. The plump little thief was thrown into the warrior's cell to save the guards having to feed two prisoners seperately. So Martin and Gonff met and went on to become lifelong best friends.
