While at my evening art classes over the past couple of weeks, I've been working on this portrait to
improve my skills at both pencil shading and drawing people.
I'd recently bought myself some quality drawing pencils... one H, one B and one 5B. (I've already got plenty of
standard issue HBs)
My subject was the famous English comedian, actor and amateur astronomer from the 30s and 40s, Will Hay.
In his film career, he was probably most famous for his roles as a bumbling schoolmaster who knew less than the
pupils he was placed over to teach, but wouldn't admit that.
